Julia is a local Ashburtonian who grew up on a farm in Wakanui. After spending 9 years away in Dunedin and Australia, she is now back in Ashburton and has brought PhysioWorks Ashburton with her.
Julia has worked extensively in private practice physiotherapy since graduating from the University of Otago. She has worked in both New Zealand and Internationally and has had the pleasure of treating a diverse group of patients over the years. These include elite sports people, hobby enthusiasts, people with aches and pains and chronic pain patients.
Julia takes a hands-on approach to physiotherapy combining manual therapy, dry needling and exercise prescription for her patients. She prides herself on being a great listener and excellent problem solver to treat injuries and pain effectively. She creates an individualised plan for each patient to support them on their journey to achieve their goals and prevent future injuries.
Outside of work life, Julia will often be found out running, hiking in the hills, playing hockey, tennis and golf, exploring the outdoors, or spending time with her dog George.
